Special Education Teacher – Penn Highlands East Campus, DuBois:

Riverview IU 6 is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for the Penn Highlands facility in DuBois. This is a professional position with salary and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement. The starting salary with a bachelor’s degree and no experience is $57,780 per year, with consideration given to experience and advanced degrees for a higher starting salary. The top salary can exceed $90,000. A valid Pennsylvania certification or licensure for Special Education Teacher is required. Experience with mental health disorders is recommended. General responsibilities include designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s educational and behavioral needs, managing diverse classroom settings, coordinating services, and collaborating with Penn Highlands Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit staff to support each resident’s development.

Special Education Teacher – North Clarion High School:

Riverview IU 6 is also hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for the Autism Support classroom at North Clarion High School. This professional position includes salary and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement, with a starting salary of $57,780 per year for candidates holding a bachelor’s degree and no experience. Those with relevant experience and advanced degrees may qualify for a higher starting salary, with top earnings exceeding $90,000. Experience and advanced credentials may qualify applicants for a higher starting salary, with potential earnings exceeding $90,000. A valid Pennsylvania certification or licensure as a Behavior Analyst is required. The Behavior Specialist will work with students in school-age classrooms, offering crisis management and behavioral support while contributing to the development of IEPs and behavioral plans. Strong knowledge of special education regulations, effective communication skills, and technological proficiency are essential. The role also includes coordination with RIU6, service providers, families, and school personnel to ensure individualized support for each learner.
